This project aimed to update Ágora's app. The client had an app that was visually far from what they had as branding, so needed to update it in order to make sense within their wallet of products.
Ágora was a startup for investment bought by Bradesco and needed to update all their platforms in order to have a cohesive communication with components that used Bradesco's design system aswell improve their branding as a reliable company.
We identified that all Ágora's products had a different visual ID between each other, specially the app.
To try to solve that, we decided update all the screens with an adaptation of Bradesco's design system so that it was similar with Bradesco, but with Ágora's color palette.
How can we make Ágora's app better visually and closer to the mission of the company?
When starting the research, we focused on understanding the market's best practices and the main visual trends for investment products. After understanding a little more about the market, we began a slightly more detailed study of the users of this app, in order to understand the target audience.
After all the previous studies, we detailed exactly what we needed to have in the Ágora app, mapping all the features that already existed on the website, to create versions of them within the app.
The visual language used was largely based on Banco Bradesco's existing design system, as it was one of the requirements of this new product. For the color palette, we used shades of green provided by the branding team. As it is an investment application, we understand that it is necessary to soften the look and feel, and for this we use rounded edges and soft colors.
The project carried out together with the Banco Bradesco team was a great success, generating a good increase in conversions for Ágora's mobile application and website, with around 18% more device accesses than previously.
It was a very challenging project, as it was directly involved with money, but the end result turns all problems into learning experiences.
